We are having a CAGE match meeting this Thursday.
Please attend if you are coming this Saturday with the team.
Meeting at Henlines from 6-7pm.
There will be a driver training session held this Friday at the 4-H Heritage Building starting at 5:30. This session will be aimed at the new members of our team. So, if you are a new member I encourage you to show up and try your hand at driving the robot. Those people present at the session will be the people driving the robot during CAGE Match. I would also like for anyone that has been on a past driving team to show up if you are able to help train and give helpful hints to our new members.
If you do not know where the 4-H Heritage we will be meeting at the Henline Building at 5:25 to head over to the 4-H building.
Hope to see all the new members there. If you are unable to come but still have a desire to drive at CAGE Match let me know and I will figure something out.
Here is the poster announcing our Open House at Huntington North High School next week. Please pass this information along to all of your friends who might be interested in participating with us this season. Bring them next Thursday!

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington County 4-H Robotics Team will hold an open house on Thursday, October 9, at 6 pm in the Huntington North High School auditorium. Any middle or high school student interested in joining the team is welcome to attend.
Students will be able to learn about the different aspects of the team’s involvement in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition. Demonstrations will showcase the team’s computer programming, electrical and mechanical engineering, computer-aided design (CAD), marketing, and community service projects. Students also will have the opportunity to drive one of the team’s competition robots.
Those interested in joining the robotics team will be invited to attend an Indianapolis competition later in the month to get a better idea of how the team functions.

I am happy to report that our police robot team was very successful in tonight’s proposal meeting in seeking approval of the police robot. There are a couple of bells and whistles that was asked for.
1. The ability to raise and lower the torso about 24-36 inches.
2. The ability to turn the torso 90 degrees and back to straight again.
These are easy design modifications that will be simple to incorporate. Our marketing anchor Gracie will next be busy with writing up a proposal grant for the police robot funding. This is all great news for the team.
See attached police robot concept.
Please welcome me in congratulating the members of the police robot team for a successful approval.
