We’ve had a wonderful last minute chance to go and compete at the Connecticut Regional this year April 1 - 3, 2010. Our team members are exciting to go this weekend. One of the most special things about this trip is visiting with our local corporate sponsor United Technologies in Hartford, CT. We’ve been warm welcomed by the Connecticut Regional Chairperson as well as promised personal visits from the Vice President of Research Center of UTEC in Connecticut and many other UTEC contacts to stop by our pit. UTEC sponsors 35 teams in the USA. This is an excellent chance for our Huntington, IN students to make an appearance on UTEC’s corporate soil with an already competitive robot. This will be Team THRUST’s first appearance at the Connecticut Regional as well playing Breakaway with all the other UTEC teams in Connecticut that we’ve never had a chance to meet. New friends will certainly be remembered.

Tomorrow marks the start of our SIXTH season as Huntington County 4-H Robotics. Another exciting year none the least. We’ve had some wonderful sponsorships again this year from BAE Systems, NASA, Henline Towing, United Technologies, Indiana Workforce Development, National 4-H Council, United REMC Operation Round Up, PHD, Inc. and Huntington University. Thank you sponsors for making this possible to grow our students in our own community.
